Davidson is a lakeside town located along Lake Norman in northern Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, USA. It is located directly off I-77, 25 miles north of Charlotte, NC. Town population was approximately 11,000 in the 2010 census. It has a total area of 5.1 square miles, of which 11.8 square miles of it is land and the remaining water. Along with its sister towns, Cornelius and Huntersville – Davidson serves as a wonderful suburb to Charlotte, NC with its history linked to Davidson College.

Davidson is conveniently located north or Charlotte. Commute to Charlotte via I-77 by car is expected with regular rush hour traffic in for the morning and after-work.
